Sacramento police out of the South Command office were busy between about 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Friday, responding to a string of four burglaries or attempts in two small neighborhoods.
One juvenile suspect was arrested.
The first two incidents were reported right around 10:30 a.m. from the Meadowview neighborhood, near Sloat School Park.
A resident on Sylvia Way heard something outside her window and opened the blinds to see someone duck and move away.
She reported hearing someone jumping fences.
Nearby, on Carell Drive, a homeowner came home at almost the same time and interrupted a burglary.
The suspects broke surveillance cameras and took other items.
About an hour later, alarms alerted police to burglaries in neighborhoods near Franklin and Cosumnes River boulevards.
An officer entered house on Phinney Drive and met a 16-year-old suspect burglarizing the home.
The juvenile was taken into custody.
Ten minutes later, police found another ringing alarm on Calle Royale Way and found the home had been burglarized.
A flat screen television was found by the fence outside but no suspects were seen.
