Amber Alert for Stanislaus County teen called off

An Amber Alert regarding an alleged teen abduction that occurred last night in Salida in Stanislaus County has been cancelled after the girl returned home.

According to the CHP Amber Alert, Christina Anderson, 16, was taken by force from her home about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

A Stansilaus County Sheriff's Department press release said that Calvin Paul Rodrigues, 38, forced his way into Anderson's home and kidnapped her.

About 12:30 a.m. today, the suspect's vehicle was spotted approaching Anderson's home. Deputies searching for the girl surrounded the suspect's vehicle and took Rodrigues into custody.

Anderson was in the vehicle.
