Two men who died in a head-on crash in Folsom on Saturday night have been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office as Christopher Stephen Martell, 37, and Robert Todd Ohlander, 32, both of Citrus Heights.
The men were northbound on Folsom Boulevard in a Saturn about 6:45 p.m. when a southbound sport utility vehicle, driven by Michael Sharp of Folsom, crossed the center line into the northbound lane, hitting the Saturn head-on near Parkshore Drive, according to the Folsom Police Department.
Emergency personnel declared Martell and Ohlander dead at the scene. Another person in their vehicle was taken to a local hospital with what were described as non-lethal injuries.
Sharp was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He was initially hospitalized due to his injuries but was booked into Sacramento County Jail on Sunday night. Bail is set at $2 million.
