Update: Alleged gunman arrested in fatal shooting in Marysville

Marysville Police Chief Wallace Fullerton said Marcus Nelson Hume, 32, of Marysville was taken into custody without incident shortly after 4 p.m. at a house in the 6000 block of Dunning Avenue in unincorporated Yuba County. Wallace said Hume surrendered after officers surrounded the house.

Five others were arrested Saturday and early Sunday in connection with the shooting of 38-year-old Steven Andrew Moore in a residential neighborhood in east Marysville. Wallace said the motive for the shooting has not been determined and the investigation continues.

The Air Force confirmed today that one of the men booked in the homicide over the weekend was a Beale Air Force Base airman.

Shortly after the shooting, police arrested William Vincent Silliman Jr., 21, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit homicide. Airman 1st Class Silliman is part of the 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

"This event is tragic, and, if the allegations are true, then this is not an accurate reflection of the outstanding airmen serving here and around the world," stated Brig. Gen. Paul H. McGillicuddy, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander, in a news release. "We take pride in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self and excellence in all we do. We are working cooperatively with local law enforcement agencies to carry out the investigation."

Others arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit homicide are Kari Felicia Mulkey, 21 and David Leslie Eneix, 27, both of Marysville and two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17.
