A man wanted for homicide this morning in Nevada County led officers on a chase that eventually ended in Sacramento County.
Nevada County dispatchers were called about 12:30 a.m. today regarding a disturbance in the 11000 block of Lake Shore North in the community of Lake of the Pines. While in en route, 911 calls came in that there had been a stabbing.
Once deputies arrived, according to Lt. John Kropp, they found a man in his early 30s dead from stab wounds. The name of the victim and what prompted the stabbing has not been released.
"It was some sort of party that went awry," said Kropp.
Kropp said the suspect, Brandon Riddle-Terrel, 24, of Petaluma, fled in a vehicle with Placer County deputies picking up the pursuit before Sacramento County deputies and a California Highway Patrol helicopter crew succeeded in taking him into custody on Grant Line Road.
