Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies need the public's assistance in finding a missing woman who works in Folsom.

Melodie Benton, 55, of Carmichael, left work Wednesday about 2 p.m. Sheriff's officials said Benton, who is also known as Melodie Rowan, was observed on video surveillance cameras leaving the Red Hawk Casino in Shingle Springs about 8 that night. She appeared to be alone, and left in an unknown direction.

"She is considered at-risk due to her disappearance being highly inconsistent with her normal behavior patterns," according to a sheriff's department press release.

This afternoon, sheriff's officials released an updated physical description of Benton: She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and has long, straight black hair and brown eyes. Casino surveillance video showed her wearing a black turtle neck with a bright green vest over it, and a black hoodie with white trim, officials said.

She drives a 2001 red and silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo, California license plate number 4XOS962. A black Tasmanian Devil decal is on the rear driver-side quarter panel of the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's department at (916) 874-5115.
