Lincoln police investigate stabbing of 17-year-old boy

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the arm on a Lincoln sidewalk this afternoon, according to police.

Callers reported the stabbing at 3rd and R streets to police about 4 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a "semi-conscious" teen laying on the sidewalk with a "severe laceration" on his arm, according to a Lincoln police news release.

The boy was transported to Sutter Roseville Hospital.

Police have not identified a motive for the stabbing, nor have they identified a suspect, the release states. The incident is under investigation.
