Teen reported missing after failing to return home from school

Lewis+photo.jpgThe Sacramento County Sheriff's Department seeks the public's help locating a teenage boy who failed to return home from school this afternoon.

Edward "Eddie" Lewis (pictured), 16, was last seen at Rosemont High School in the 9500 block of Kiefer Boulevard about 2:45 p.m. Sheriff's officials said he is considered to be at risk due to a diminished mental capacity.

Lewis is described a 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 125 pounds. He has wavy, reddish-brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a bright orange hooded sweatshirt and blue shorts.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.
