Lincoln police suspect roof climber was running a meth lab

A man suspected of climbing onto a neighbor's roof with a firearm on Monday, was re-booked Tuesday on suspicion of making meth, Lincoln police said.

Police said that Jason Michael Arnold, 27, lived with a 91-year-old relative in the 2100 block of Third Street. On Monday, police went to the home on a report that he was acting strange and was atop the neighbor's house with a loaded gun.

Police determined he was under the influence of methamphetamine. Officers also found a firearm in Arnold's home.

He was arrested Monday on suspicion of being under the influence of methamphetamine and possession of the drug.

A follow-up investigation on Tuesday led investigators to find items in the garage and Arnold's bedroom that would indicate a meth lab was in operation, police said in a press release.

He was re-booked on additional charges of suspicion of making methamphetamine and elder abuse.
