Update: Suspicious item turns out to be homemade tattoo gun

By Mark Glover

Sacramento police investigating a possible pipe bomb found in a yard in the 600 block of Acacia Ave., say the object turned out to be a homemade tattoo gun.

Police and the bomb squad reported to the scene just north of the intersection of El Camino Avenue and Del Paso Boulevard around 11 a.m., after a woman spotted what was described as a pipe wrapped in tape.

Police said a "small evacuation" of a handful of homes in the surrounding area was implemented while the bomb squad investigated.

Police reported the all-clear shortly after 1:30 p.m.
