Search for masked Citrus Heights robbers unsuccessful

A Citrus Heights mini-mart was held up last night by robbers who got away despite a multi-agency search for the culprits.

Citrus Heights police said that about 9 p.m. Thursday, three men wearing ski masks entered the Citrus Mart, 7601 Sunrise Boulevard. At gunpoint, they demanded cash from the clerk and then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

They were last seen running toward the rear of the building. Citrus Heights officers, along with a Sacramento police dog unit and the California Highway Patrol helicopter crew, searched without luck to find the robbers.

Anyone who may have information about the hold-up are encouraged to call police at (916) 727-5500.
