Six people were arrested at a west Davis home where police reported finding methamphetamine during a parole search.
Davis police officers on Tuesday searched a residence in the 1100 block of Halifax Avenue in the Stonegate neighborhood. Inside the house, they found more than 52 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and other evidence suggesting that drugs were being sold, according to a Police Department news release.
Arrested were Erica Marie Umbay, 37, Chad Stewart Umbay, 28, Michelle Witten, 31, Thomas Witten, 33, and Zachary Hicks, 26, all of Davis, and Matthew Ramirez, 25, of Woodland.
During the investigation, Thomas Witten became combative with officers and had to be physically subdued, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possessing drug paraphernalia, participating in a criminal conspiracy and obstructing police officers. Michelle Witten was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possessing drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
Erica Marie Umbay was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possessing drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy, and Chad Stewart Umbay, on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and criminal conspiracy.
Hicks is accused of possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possessing drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.
Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of being at a house where methamphetamine was being used or sold.
All were booked into Yolo County Jail.
