After a week of surgery and recuperation, Sacramento police K-9 Bodie, who was shot by a car theft suspect last week in Land Park, received a big sendoff at his release today from the Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center in Rancho Cordova. According to tweets from Bee crime reporter Kim Minugh, fellow officers, vets and even the police department's Air1 helicopter was on hand for the dog's departure from the vet center.
