Police warn of prowler exposing himself in Davis

Davis police are searching for a prowler who exposed himself to a resident earlier this week.

Officers were dispatched about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 1500 block of H St. regarding a prowler. A 22-year-old woman told police that she was in her apartment when she heard a knocking sound on her wall. When she approached her window, she saw a man looking into her bedroom while exposing himself, according to a Police Department news release.

The woman said the man appeared to be of Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with brown eyes, unshaven with a thin mustache, and a shaved head. She said he was wearing a black "hoodie" style sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The woman yelled at the man and he ran away before police arrived.

Police advise residents in the area to immediately call the Police Department, (530) 747-5400, if they suspect prowling activity.
