Sheriff's officials identified the suspect as James Patrick Holcomb (pictured), 21.
On June 24, sheriff's deputies responded to the 10,000 block of Larkin Road in Live Oak regarding reports of multiple gunshots in the area. When they arrived, deputies found a 16-year-old boy who had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper thigh, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
The suspect was not located during a search of the area.
Holcomb is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and multiple tattoos on his neck and chest. He was last seen in a dark-colored, lifted pickup with an extended cab and tinted windows.
Authorities said Holcomb also is wanted on a parole hold and is considered armed and dangerous.
