Submitted by: Vince, Sacramento

ANSWER: The probation hearing and sentencing for Richard S. Johnson that was scheduled for July 26 has been continued to Aug. 31, according to Sacramento Superior Court online records.

Johnson, 31, was convicted by a Sacramento County jury in June of sexually assaulting a child younger than 14 years old. The jury also found an allegation of kidnapping to be true.

In February 2009, Johnson kidnapped a 13-year-old girl, stuffed her into a trunk and drove her to the woods where he raped her, authorities said.
