Parking lot fights in Woodland draw police interest

Woodland police are investigating two fights involving several combatants Thursday night in parking lots east of downtown.

Officers were dispatched at 10:38 p.m. to a convenience store at 1400 East Main St., where 10 people were fighting. Officers arrived within minutes of the call, but the people involved had scattered.

At 10:53 p.m., officers went to Woodland Memorial Hospital to speak to two 18-year-old Woodland residents, who were treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police said they were hurt during a fight a short time earlier in the parking lot near a clothing store at 1388 East Main St. Police characterized both fights as "one continuous event."

Anyone who witnessed either fight is asked to call police at (530) 666-2411.
