The Sacramento Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with a 2003 homicide in the Meadowview area.
Brian Keith London, 39, was was arrested today at Sacramento Police Department headquarters and booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of murder in the death of Chateamer Hornes, 27. He is being held without bail.
Police responded to a 911 call about 10:54 p.m. Sept. 2, 2003, regarding a shooting in the 7500 block of Eddylee Way. Officers arrived to find Hornes lying on the front lawn of a home. Hornes had multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
Detectives learned through a preliminary investigation that Hornes had been involved in a confrontation with another individual that quickly led to gunfire.
An arrest warrant was issued today for London for his role in the shooting. Police spokesman Sgt. Andrew Pettit said London turned himself in with the department's SWAT team standing by at police headquarters.
Pettit said police have not released a booking photo of London because the investigation is continuing.
