Mike Cordell 252607_166447326813301_1865858899_n.jpgDavis police report that their search for a suspect in recent vehicle burglaries in the city has ended with the arrest of the man in Solano County.

Michael Cordell (pictured), 44, is believed to have been the passenger in a pickup truck that Davis officers stopped about 6 a.m. June 11 after receiving a report of individuals looking into vehicles in the 1800 block of Picasso Avenue.

Two men were inside the truck. As officers stopped the vehicle, the passenger got out of the truck and ran off, according to a Police Department news release.

The driver was taken into custody and later identified as Eric Buenafe, 46, of Dixon. Police said his passenger was later identified as Cordell.

Police said the two men are suspects in several vehicle burglaries that recently occurred in the area. Buenafe was booked into Yolo County Jail on suspicion of burglary.
