The name of the woman fatally shot Wednesday in south Sacramento on the 7900 block of Loucreta Drive has been released by the Sacramento County Coroner's office.
She has been identified as 38-year-old Lisa Bisher.
Bisher was on the street with a man around 3 a.m. Wednesday when another man and woman left their residence and approached them. A confrontation between the men ended with the woman from the residence shooting Bisher in the upper body, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
After fleeing back into their home, the suspect and the man with her drove away, according to the Sheriff's Department. The man who was with Bisher called for help.
Bisher died from her injury about three hours later, according to the coroner's website.
A homicide investigation is under way and there is no description of the getaway vehicle available. Deputies also did not release the name or a description of the woman who killed Bisher.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the homicide bureau at (916) 874-5115, crime alert at (916) 443-HELP or text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) by entering SACTIP and then tip information. The Sheriff's Department said callers can remain anonymous and can earn a reward up to $1,000.
