QUESTION: What happened to the Valley High teacher who was charged with having sex with a minor?
Submitted by: Monb, Elk Grove
ANSWER: Sean Darnell Davis, 42, a campus supervisor at Valley High School in the Elk Grove Unified School District, was arrested in May on suspicion of engaging in sex with a minor.
According to Sacramento Superior Court online records, Davis entered a guilty plea July 24 and is scheduled for a probation hearing and sentencing on Aug. 24.
At the time of Davis' arrest, Sacramento County sheriff's officials said he was believed to have maintained an ongoing sexual relationship with a female victim from August 2011 until February of this year when the victim was 17.
An Elk Grove Unified School District spokeswoman said Davis had been a campus supervisor at the Valley High campus since he was hired by the district in 2008. In his job, she said, he served as the "eyes and ears" of the campus, making sure students were in class and monitoring the campus during the lunch period.
