Two teenagers are being sought following a report of an armed robbery at an Elk Grove residence this afternoon.
Elk Grove police spokesman Officer Christopher Trim said officers responded at 3:09 p.m. to a report of a burglary at a home in the 10000 block of Lambeau Court. When they arrived, they learned that the intruders had been armed with what were described as handguns.
Three people were in the house when they heard a knock on the door. One occupant looked out a peephole and saw two males, 16 to 18 years old. When the residents did not answer the door, the two armed teenagers pushed their way into the home and ordered the three people inside to lie on the floor.
The intruders searched the home and took personal items belonging to the residents. Trim said the teenagers were last seen leaving the home on foot.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Trim said the suspects wore some type of light cloth, like a bandana, over their faces. One was reportedly wearing a gray jacket and blue jeans. and the other was wearing all dark clothing.
Officers interviewed witnesses and canvassed the neighborhood but did not find the suspects, Trim said.
