The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting in the Olivehurst area in which two teenagers were injured Tuesday night.
Deputies responded about 10:30 p.m. to the 1800 block of Baugh Avenue regarding a report that two boys had been shot. Deputies found two 17-year-old youths who had suffered gunshot wounds to the upper torso and face, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. Officials said the injuries were not life-threatening.
The victims were in a garage at a residence when an individual approached them and fired a shotgun in their direction, authorities said. The youths retreated into the house and the shooter left in an unknown direction.
The two teenagers were treated at Rideout Memorial Hospital and released.
No description of the suspect was available.
