Sacramento Police arrested two juveniles Friday on suspicion of burglary after a woman chased them from her home with a golf club, Officer Michele Gigante said.
The woman, who lives in the 6000 block of Wynnewood Court, was sitting in her livingroom at 2:30 p.m. when she noticed two shadows moving across her drawn blinds.
One of the suspects entered her home through the back sliding glass door, which was unlocked. The woman confronted him with a golf club in hand, a police report said.
She chased the boy out of her home and both juveniles ran away, Gigante said.
The woman called her neighbor whose boyfriend continued the chase. He followed the boys until they ran into a house, Gigante said.
Police arrived at the house and found a group of adults standing outside. They asked them about the location of the two boys.
Police found the two juveniles in the attic of the house and arrested them on suspicion of burglary, the report said. A man outside, reported to be the brother of one of the suspects, was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police officers.
Gigante called this a good example of fast-acting residents, neighbors and police working together to catch suspected criminals.
