An Auburn man allegedly chased his roommate through their home while wielding a chainsaw, according to the Auburn Police Department.
Officers responded to a call near Gold and Virginia streets at 12:15 a.m. Thursday. Marvin Daniels, 63, had reportedly chased his roommate down a hallway and into a bedroom armed with a running chainsaw, police said.
Daniels' roommate stayed in the bedroom until Daniels went outside the home and took the screen off the window to the room in which the roommate was staying, according to a police. Daniels then held his revved-up chainsaw through the open window, police said in a press release.
The roommate escaped the house and ran to a neighbor's residence to call 911, according to the police.
Police said Daniels was also arrested for brandishing a weapon, criminal threats and violation of probation.
