Police seek suspects in armed robbery of Davis motel

Davis police are investigating an early-morning armed robbery at a local motel.

Officers were dispatched to the La Quinta Inn, 1771 Research Park Drive, at 12:40 a.m. The front desk clerk reported that three men brandished guns and demanded money. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robbers fled, according to a Police Department news release.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Police said the suspects are believed three young men. Two of the suspects were described as African American, while the race of the third was not known. All were said to be wearing dark, hooded sweatshirts and ski masks, and two brandished handguns during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5400.
