The 16 Complex fire, which began last Tuesday, has now burned a little less than 18,000 acres and is 90 percent contained as of 6:30 a.m.
The 16 Complex Fire is two separate fires located about four miles apart along Highway 16 and south of Highway 20 in Colusa County.
Last week Highway 16 was closed to everybody, but has since been reopened. All evacuations have also been lifted. Over 1,100 firefighters have worked together to control the blaze.
Cal Fire spokesman Daniel Berlant said the location of the fire was difficult to reach. He said several firefighters had to be brought in by helicopter last week.
