Three women have been arrested and two other suspects are sought in connection with last week's armed robbery of a Dollar Tree store in Rocklin.
Several anonymous tips from the public, as well as cell phone records and a parking surveillance video, led to the arrests, according to a Rocklin Police Department news release.
Loriann Prout, 27, and Victoria Micheels, 32, both of Roseville, and Enery Toro, 22, of Rocklin were booked into Placer County Jail today. They are accused of robbery, false imprisonment, assault and conspiracy. Each is being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.
Police said two other suspects have been identified but are not in custody.
According to police, three women entered the Dollar Tree store at 6655 Lonetree Blvd. at 9:21 p.m. Aug. 27, just before closing time.
One of the women reportedly brandished a handgun, grabbed a male employee and pulled him to the ground while holding the pistol with her other hand. The other two suspects held the male employee down while the suspect with the firearm ordered another employee to open the register drawers.
The suspect with the firearm then forced both employees to the manager's office, demanding more cash, authorities said. The suspects took the cash and left through the front door of the business.
