The Sacramento County Coroner's office today has released the name of the man killed in a collision between a school bus and a sport-utility vehicle near Rancho Cordova.
He was identified as Lawrence Perez, 66, of Sacramento.
California Highway Patrol Officer Jasper Begay said the crash occurred at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday. A 1996 Jeep Cherokee was westbound on Jackson Highway when the driver ran a red light at Sunrise Boulevard, Begay said.
