A 20-year-old woman has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman in south Sacramento two months ago.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department announced that Andreawanna Clemmons, 20, was taken into custody at her Sacramento residence earlier today in the death of 38-year-old Lisa Bisher. Clemmons was booked into Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of murder and is ineligible for bail at this time, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
Deputies were dispatched shortly after 3 a.m. July 18 to the 7900 block of Loucreta Drive regarding a woman who had been shot. They arrived to find Bisher with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Bisher was transported to an area hospital, where she died.
Officials said preliminary information indicated that Bisher and a man were arguing in front of a residence, when they were confronted by a man and woman who came out of the house. An argument ensued, and the woman who came out of the house reportedly produced a handgun and shot Bisher.
Through their investigation, detectives identified Clemmons as the resident of the house at the time and the person allegedly responsible for the shooting.
Detectives are continuing their investigation and ask anyone with information regarding the shooting to call the sheriff's homicide bureau at (916) 874-5115.
Authorities said Clemmons' booking photo has not been released because of the ongoing investigation.
