QUESTION: There was a special education teacher who worked at Will C. Wood by the name of Mark Cline. He was taken to jail for pornography. Can you tell me what happened?
Submitted by: Tami, Sacramento
ANSWER: Mark Allen Cline, a former special education teacher at Will C. Wood Middle School in Sacramento, was indicted by a federal grand jury in March 2011 for receipt and possession of child pornography.
Cline, 47, entered a not guilty plea, and the case is making its way through the federal court process. According to online court records, a status conference is scheduled for Nov. 30.
According to stories in The Bee, Cline, a Stockton resident, was arrested Dec. 22, 2010 at his home after San Joaquin County sheriff's deputies found child pornography on his computer.
He was initially charged with possession of child pornography by the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office before the federal grand jury returned its two-count indictment.
