ANSWER: Albert Patrick Valli was convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the May 1999 death of 39-year-old Doug Zimmerman.
According to an account in The Bee, officers were called to the 7300 block of Stanwood Way after a man identified as Valli called 911 saying he had shot his roommate after an argument.
Neighbors told officers that Valli lived with a woman and her young son, and Zimmerman had been living with them for about a month.
Valli was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
