Linda man arrested after meth found during vehicle stop

A Linda man was arrested after a Yuba County sheriff's deputy reported finding more than an ounce of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

A deputy was on patrol in the 3200 block of Erle Road about 2 a.m. Saturday when he stopped a vehicle driven by Larry Dorsey, 47, who is on parole, a Sheriff's Department news release shows.

During a search of Dorsey's vehicle deputies located more than 37 grams of methamphetamine packaged in several different baggies. They also seized a syringe and a small amount of heroin, officials said.

Dorsey was booked into the Yuba County Jail on suspicion of possessing controlled substances for sale and transporting controlled substances.
