Man accused of manslaughter after fight at Yuba County cafe

A Yuba County man has been arrested following the death of a 37-year-old Stockton man, who was injured last month in a fight.

Haley Wike, 26, of Forbestown is accused of fighting with Louis Pacini IV in the Willow Glen Cafe in the early morning hours of Sept. 15. During the fight, Wike allegedly hit Pacini in the face while holding a pool cue in his hand, knocking Pacini to the ground, according to a Yuba County Sheriff's Department news release. Pacini struck his head in the fall and was taken by ambulance to Rideout Memorial Hospital, where he died Sept. 25.

Officials said an autopsy determined that Pacini died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Wike turned himself in to the Sheriff's Department on Tuesday and was booked at the Yuba County Jail on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call the Sheriff's Department at (530) 749-7777.
