Man convicted of murder in 2010 North Sacramento shooting

Ricardo Lynn Hall was convicted today in the 2010 shooting death of Matthew Maurizzio in North Sacramento.

A Sacramento County jury found Hall, 20, guilty of first-degree murder and also found true the special circumstance that the murder occurred during an attempted robbery.

On Jan. 23, 2010, Sacramento police responded to a shooting in the area of Dixieanne Avenue and Cambridge Street. Officers found Maurizzio dead in the front yard of a nearby residence.

Hall is to be sentenced Nov. 9 by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Roland Candee.
