Sacramento County sheriff's detectives have arrested to suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside an Arden Way motel last month, according to authorities.
Ceasar Williams, 27 and pictured at left, and Michael Nunally, 28 and pictured below left, are accused in the Sept. 25 death of the 29-year-old victim, said sheriff's Sgt. Jason Ramos. The victim's name has not yet been released by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.
Deputies found the victim after hearing reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Motel 6 on Arden Way, near Howe Avenue, about 9 p.m. the night of Sept. 25. Further investigation led detectives to identify Williams and Nunally as suspects in the crime, Ramos said.
Williams was arrested on suspicion of murder Oct. 16 and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. Nunally already was in custody at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center for an alleged parole violation when he was arrested on suspicion of murder, Ramos said.
Detectives have not yet determined the motive for the shooting, and they are investigating the possibility that other suspects were involved, Ramos said.
They also suspect there were witnesses who did not come forward, and are asking that anyone with information call the Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Callers can remain anonymous and might be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
