Woodland girl reports man tried to lure her into vehicle

Woodland police are investigating a report that individuals tried to lure a girl into a vehicle late Tuesday.

The juvenile was walking in the area of Beamer Street and Frost Drive about 10:30 p.m. when a vehicle pulled alongside the girl. The girl kept walking and was followed by the vehicle. One of the occupants then got out of the vehicle and tried to coerce the victim to get inside, according to a Police Department news release.

The girl was able to run away from the suspects.

The suspect vehicle was described as a green older model Nissan pickup. The suspect that spoke to and approached the girl was described as a Latino man, about 30 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build, shaved head, goatee, wearing a white shirt, red shorts and red shoes. No description of the second suspect was available.
