Bee carrier killed in crash is identified

By Tony Bizjak

The Sacramento Bee newspaper carrier killed in a car crash early Thanksgiving morning has been identified by the Sacramento County Coroner as Kim Ngoc Nguyen, 37, of Sacramento.

Nguyen died when her sedan hit a power pole at about 6:20 a.m. on the 5500 block of 14th Avenue in the Tahoe Park and Tallac Village area. A passenger in the car was injured. Sacramento police officers said Nguyen appeared to be making morning deliveries when the crash occurred.

Alcohol was not involved, they said. Nguyen worked for the Metro Media News company, one of the Bee's contracted delivery companies.
