UPDATE: Police say man found in Robla area had multiple gunshot wounds

Sacramento police are investigating a homicide after a male in his 20s was found with gunshot wounds this evening at Sextant and Sully ways in the Robla area.

Police received a call at 6:36 p.m. reporting that someone had been shot. Capt. Mike Bray said officers found the young man in the street.

Bray said it is not known whether the man was shot at that location or elsewhere. He said neighbors reported that they hadn't heard any gunshots, but just saw the man lying in the street.

The victim suffered several gunshot wounds to the upper body was taken by ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Bray said the victim is about 25 years old. He has not been identified.

Bray said there currently are no suspects. He said detectives were investigating at the scene.
