Mother riding with child booked on suspicion of DUI in Sacramento crash

Patricia Hemenway, 27.JPGSacramento police say a woman was driving under the influence with her young son in the back seat when her vehicle hit a parked car.

Patricia Hemenway, 27, hit the parked car about 6 p.m. Wednesday near Riverside Boulevard and Broadway in the Land Park area. When officers arrived they determined that Hemenway was DUI.

Her 5-year-old son, riding in her car at the time of the crash, received minor injuries, according to a police log.

In addition to being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Hemenway was also arrested for suspicion of child endangerment, police said.
