The Placer County District Attorney's office has declined to file charges against Sierra College Associate Dean of Athletics Thomas Gang.
While Gang and the school have agreed to part ways, the terms of the agreement are still being worked out, said Sue Michaels, a spokeswoman for the community college.
Gang was arrested in August for felony domestic violence.
The DA's office said after reviewing the case there was "insufficient evidence to prove to a jury that a crime had been committed."
Gang previously faced accusations he assaulted and verbally abusing a Mendocino College security guard.
A private investigator hired by Mendocino College used video of the incident in concluding an assault did not take place. No charges were filed.
