Suspect sought in burglary of Yuba County sandwich shop

The Yuba County Sheriff's Department is investigating a break-in of a Subway shop that included theft of the restaurant's safe.

The burglary occurred early Sunday at the sandwich shop in the 1600 block of North Beale Road in the Linda area.

Deputies are using surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspect. The footage indicates that a male pried open the door to the business just before 6 a.m., according to a Sheriff's Department news release. The individual entered the store and stole a safe. Officials said the value of the property in the safe has not been determined.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and wearing a black hoodie.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in is asked to call the Yuba County Sheriff's Department at (530) 749-7777.
