Two men have been convicted of multiple charges including attempted murder, use of a gun and gang allegations stemming from a 2008 drive-by shooting.
A Sacramento County jury on Wednesday returned guilty verdicts for Xuan Le and Darann Sing, both 20 years old
About 4:30 p.m. Oct. 8, 2008, a group of approximately 10 people were standing outside a house in south Sacramento's Elder Creek neighborhood. Two cars carrying Khom Zing Tong gang members drove by and passengers from each car opened fire on the group, striking the house, several cars and seriously injuring four people, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney's Office news release. The Sacramento Police Department found 32 9mm casings in the street.
Le and Sing are to be sentenced Jan. 3 by Sacramento Superior Court Judge Ben Davidian.
