Rocklin police have arrested two men in connection with vehicle burglaries at Sierra College and in the city of Lincoln.
Mark Dingman, 39, and Jordan Edwards, 29, both of Rocklin, were arrested today following an investigation of four separate auto burglaries reported Wednesday on the Sierra College campus.
Based on physical evidence and investigative leads, officers within hours obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 2300 block of South Whitney Boulevard in Rocklin. When they served the search warrant, officers found evidence from the Sierra College burglaries, according to a Police Department news release. Officials said the investigation also tied Edwards and Dingman to a vehicle burglary that had occurred earlier in the morning near Twelve Bridges and East Joiner Parkway in Lincoln.
The two men were booked into Placer County Jail. Dingman was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and outstanding warrants, and is being held in lieu of $45,000 bail. Edwards is being held without bail on suspicion of possession of stolen property.
The investigation is continuing, and anyone with information about these or related crimes is asked to call the Rocklin Police Department at (916) 625-5400.
