West Sacramento police schedule annual community meetings

The West Sacramento Police Department will hold its annual community meetings at four locations this month.

The meetings offer residents an opportunity to obtain important information and discuss issues of mutual concern. Primary topics will be the city's newly revised alarm ordinance and special event application process, according to a department news release.

To accommodate residents, meetings will be held at different Washington Unified School District schools. Meetings are scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m.:

• Thursday at Riverbank Elementary School, 1100 Carrie St., for the Bryte and Broderick areas.

• Tuesday at Westmore Oaks Elementary, 930 Westacre Road, for the central West Sacramento area.

• Nov. 27 at Stonegate Elementary School, 2500 La Jolla St., for the Southport area.

• Nov. 29 at the West Sacramento Police Department, 550 Jefferson Blvd., for the city's commercial areas.
