Agencies search for missing couple

Law enforcement agencies from four counties are searching for two adults who were reported missing by family members three days ago.

Roderick Clifton, 44, of Citrus Heights, and Paula Lane, 46, left a relative's Citrus Heights home Thursday in a dark blue 1989 Jeep Cherokee. They were expected to arrive at Lane's Gardnerville, Nev., home the same day.

Family members grew concerned given the inclement weather.

Neither has been heard from since, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department. While there is no evidence of foul play, a search of credit card and cell phone activity has yielded no leads on their whereabouts, authorities said.

Officers from the El Dorado Sheriff's, Alpine Sheriff's, California Highway Patrol and the Douglas County, Nev., Sheriff's departments have been involved in searching for Clifton and Lane.
