Bashay Edward Jorgenson, 32, described by police as a transient, was arrested on battery and attempted robbery charges in connection with the incident that sent a woman to the hospital.

Police said they responded to the area of 390 Grass Valley Highway about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a fight. The injured woman and a man said that Jorgenson punched them when he tried to steal their sleeping bags.
