A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbing a Folsom resident of his iPhone during a meeting arranged through Craigslist.
Dominique Albert Holmes, 23, of Vacaville was arrested on a warrant charging him with robbery, using a firearm in commission of a felony and additional charges.
Roseville police said that at 10:45 p.m. July 29 officers responded to a gas station at Sunrise Avenue and Cirby Way where a Folsom man said he was robbed of his cell phone.
The man told police he advertised on Craigslist to sell the phone and the purported buyer met him at the gas station. The "buyer" grabbed the phone and ran, only to be tackled by the seller.
A fight ensued, which was broken up by the buyer's friend who had a gun. Detectives used a description of the suspects, forensic evidence and interviews to track down Holmes who was in custody in Solano County on unrelated charges.
The investigation continues in an effort to find the armed accomplice.
