Light rail service continues to be disrupted to Folsom due damage to overhead transit power lines.
Regional Transit reported over the weekend that a large oak tree fell near Folsom Boulevard and Blue Ravine Road during stormy conditions Sunday, preventing light rail service.
RT officials report today that light rail service to and from Folsom is not expected to be restored until Thursday.
RT crews are working to repair extensive damage. Various repairs are needed for a half-mile section of power lines, traction poles and hardware.
Once repairs are made, RT will need to conduct testing to make sure the system is correctly operating.
RT has shuttle buses carrying passengers between the Historic Folsom station, Glenn station and the Iron Point station to the Sunrise station. Service between the Hazel station and the Sunrise station has been restored.
Service updates will be posted at www.sacrt.com where website viewers can click on "Bus and Light Rail Service Disruptions."
Light rail service on the Gold Line from the Hazel station to downtown Sacramento and on the Blue Line and Green Line is not affected by the Folsom disruption.
