Police seek help locating missing Vacaville woman

Cathleen Boland 121227 Press Release missing adult.jpgVacaville police are asking the public's help in locating a 56-year-old woman who has been missing for a week.

Cathleen Boland (pictured) was last seen about 10:30 p.m. Dec. 20. Police said she recently had made suicidal threats to her family, and she left home with a .22 caliber handgun. Boland's 2001 four-door Dodge Neon also is missing.

Boland did not take her purse, cell phone or identification with her, officials said.

Her destination is unknown, but she has ties to Napa and Idaho, according to a Police Department news release.

Anyone who sees Boland or has information regarding her whereabouts is asked to immediately call the local police department. People can call the Vacaville Police Department's 24-hour dispatch line at (707) 449-5200, or Detective Mike Ferreira at (707) 449-5258.
